Oh dear. I'm sad to see these negative reviews. About a month ago, I had a stroke. When they did the CAT Scan and MRI, they discovered that my carotid arteries were blocked. They called in Dr. Timothy Hodges and I was operated on the next morning. Aside from being an excellent surgeon, I found Dr. Hodges to be warm, caring, patient and a great communicator. When I met him, he held my hand, looked me in the eyes and explained the operation. I felt safe in his hands. My daughter was terrified. He arranged for her to receive real time updates during the surgery and he personally phoned her afterwards. Of course, he had to cut my throat open. For the first week I had pain, but the medication he prescribed helped a lot. The scar has faded to the point where it's no longer visible. I have no pain and I feel great. I would highly recommend him.

My husband was recently sent by helicopter from Newport to Salem for surgery. He was told he would be in ICU for 24 hrs after and in another recovery bed for 24 hrs more. Instead he was on a regular floor for 24 hrs and released. We had to scramble for a ride for him as I was recovering from Covid. The nurse told me he was feeling well and he seemed in good spirits on his phone calls. After he arrived home, he didn't eat for 3 days, has no appetite and no energy. His incision started swelling and the Newport ER physician called Dr Hodges service who told him to call on Monday ( it was Friday) for an appointment. I drove us to and from Salem with my husband saying he felt awful. The PA spent five minutes with him, saying his incision was fine but his BP was dangerously low. She did nothing. We have since seen our doctor's PA in Newport who helped us more than anyone in this whole mess.

Worst doctor I have dealt with for my dad. He couldn't and wouldn't help my dad because he had no guts. Two years later Dr Tao in KC fixed my dad's blodflpw to his foot... Funny how he could do it...

So far so good. As good as can be expected considering it was three bypasses. Waiting to graduate and final tests :
