Ronald Chelsky, MD

Saw Dr. Chelsky today for the first time, and was very impressed. He was referred to me by my new primary care physician, who I like very much, as well. My original PCP retired recently, and I was referred to Dr. Sandra Mobley, who is also wonderful. I feel very blessed to have found these two new, excellent physicians. I don't really know what's going on with me, dizziness, lightheadedness, shortness of breath, exhaustion--something fairly new to me. It's something concerning to my wife and kids, so we're all anxious to figure it out. Dr. Chelsky was right on it. He said it will take a battery of tests to narrow it down, but he seemed confident that they would get it figured out. He inspired a lot of confidence in us, that they would figure it out, and get me headed in the right direction. We were very inspired and impressed with Dr. Chelsky--his knowledge, confidence and kindness. I will definitely refer my friends to Dr. Chelsky, and Dr. Mobley.

I am writing this review many years later. Dr. Chelsky I wanted you to know how you changed my life. Dr. Chelsky was on call in the ER in 1992 when I was admitted with 'ventricular tachycardia.' I had been down multiple hopeless routes to resolve this health challenge which included many different medications that just didn't work for me. Dr. Chelsky referred me into an experimental program at Oregon Health & Science University where I received a procedure 2 days later that resolved my ventricular tachycardia instantly. I never had to take another heart medication. My ventricular tachycardia ended permanently. Dr. Chelsky I am here thanking you several years later and happy to report that my heart continues to be stable without issue thanks to your generous referral to OHSU. Dr. Chelsky, came in the room like a tornado sat down and knew exactly what was wrong with me before talking to me. He would dismiss everything that I would say. He said it was heartburn or anxiety, Nothing is wrong with me. My pain is because of my old neck injury and back injury so the shooting stabbing pain in my chest and around my heart and when I freeze up and seize, that it's all because of my neck and my back. He also put something in my file that should not be there.

He was vary rude. As a minority I felt vary uncomfortable. And for him to threaten to leave because we had two advocates in was vary wrong and against patient rights. Dismissing issues and said it's not a heart problem!! He treated us like a privileged white bully.

Dismissed all my symptoms and tried to convince me that I had heartburn. Stabbing pain in the chest and pain shooting down my left arm and I'm suppose to believe that is heartburn. So when I have another heart attack I won't be going to the hospital to get help.
