Dr. Kyser performed a balloon dilation on my 2 day old daughters heart as she had leaflets that were pretty severely fused together. My daughter was medi-flighted from Alaska to Portland to the Randall Children's Hospital. Dr. Kyser has a calming confidence about him, that made us feel as though our daughter was in the best hands. We are so thankful he was the person to take care of our daughter during this time. If we ever need the procedure again we will be flying down to Portland again to have him perform it.

Dr. Kyser has performed 4 cardiac catherizations on our daughter and is our cardiologist for my husband as well. Dr. Kyser is one of the most outstanding doctors we have ever worked with and highly recommend him.

James is not a listener. He dismissed my kid having a heart rate over 200 as dehydration and needing to eat more times a day. When I pointed out that the labs didn't support that diagnosis, he said it didn't matter, that's what it is. He didn't do an ekg, an echo or a tilt table test even though my child's heart rate went up to 170 in the office and we were there for a POTS work up. He didn't suggest we do IV hydration if the child was that dehydrated (though I am not sure how my kid could be that dehydrated 6 months and not dead). The nurse was lovely, but when doing the orthostatic vitals, she didn't secure the cuff properly and it popped off in the middle of one of the times tests and she then switched to a different sized cuff in the middle of the testing. For those unaware, changing the cuff size can dramatically change blood pressure readings and make for an inaccurate test which is bad when you're trying to compare a laying down blood pressure to a standing blood pressure accurately. Overall I felt like these people don't really I ow what they are doing and I certainly don't trust my child's care to them.
