I was referred to Dr. Roark to rule out heart issues and pursue a diagnose for recent health problems. He was the first doctor to really treat me as an equal and really look into my eyes and hear me. Many of you know how painful medical gaslighting can be, so you know how much it means to find a doctor, especially a specialist, who listens and cares. After being unable to find anything wrong with my heart, he sat and talked with me about my fears and frustration. At the time, I was feeling completely alone, and he made me feel heard and cared about. I hope he knows how much he lifted me up out of despair just by listening, taking time with me. I wish ALL doctors were as caring and conscientious.
