My health coverage recently changed and my first experience with Kaiser Oregon was coming in for a blood draw. Now despite being covered in tattoos, I have a lifelong fear of getting my blood drawn. I often pass out and have severe panic attacks. I was greeted by Ivan, who immediately made me feel welcome. He told me "everyone has something" and was incredibly understanding of my fear. After a focused and efficient attempt at drawing my blood, he was unable to find one of my tiny veins. Christie (Christina? I'm so sorry I was near passing out at this point) took over to assist and had an equally calming and understanding presence. She managed to get the sample quickly, and also left no bruising - a first for me! Between the two of them this was my best blood draw ever! It was also among the best medical care and human understanding in a medical facility I've ever experienced. So happy to be calling this my new medical facility!

I recently visited the Mt. Scott Medical Office and found the check-in process quite frustrating. I checked in on my phone and went to the kiosk as instructed. The kiosk then asked for my email address and a password, which I entered. I received an email that directed me back to the kiosk but never provided any information about which room I needed to go to. This lack of clarity meant I had to go to the customer service desk to find out where to go for my appointment at the nurse's station. It seems inefficient that the app and kiosk, which should streamline the check-in process, didn't provide me with the room information directly. This could easily have saved me from standing in line and having to ask for help, especially when it's something as straightforward as getting a shot. Overall, the experience was not as seamless as I had hoped, and it would be great if they could improve the integration between the app, kiosk, and in-person staff to make the process smoother for everyone.

It is always wonderful to have an appointment with Dr. Franke. She answers all my questions, gives good advice, looks things up if needed, she is positive with a smile on her face. You are lucky to have her.

In a short appointment - so many issues were addressed (cortisone shot) Covid and flu shot, order to prevent an allergic reaction to a contrast IV. All given with careful listening, clear instruction, concern, and kindness. Amazing!
