TERRIBLE DOCTOR. NEGLIGENT. Not even sure how he passed medical school. My boyfriend has struggled with stomach problems since he was a child. We have still failed to get a proper diagnosis, since having to switch from a specialist in Eugene over to Dr. Andrews at Summit Health. After 8 months of trying to get scheduled, calling and leaving message after message, hours spent on hold, we finally got in to get his annual endoscopy done. Following the procedure (which Dr spent no more than 10 minutes doing), Dr. Andrews couldn't be bothered to explain anything. "Looks like he's got GERD!" He said, and tried to rush out. Thanks Doc, that's what they're paying you the big bucks for? When asking him questions, he would talk over me. This Dr must be far too busy and far too important to answer our questions, because he assured me they would be answered at the follow up. Imagine my surprise when he didn't even put a note that a follow up was necessary. We called two weeks later, 3 times, to schedule a follow up. Guess what? Dr. andrews isn't available until November. At some point, you shouldn't even call yourself a doctor if you have no interest in helping people with their health issues -- these are peoples lives. Thanks for nothin but a $900 bill and a waste of time.

My wife was having stomach issues and after an initial examination, a colonoscopy was scheduled. After that proved inconclusive, a follow-up CT scan was scheduled and she was told Dr. Andrews would contact her to go over the test results. Several weeks passed without a call from the doctor so my wife called and left two separate messages requesting Dr. Andrews give her a call. No response. Finally after a month had passed I called and attempted to reach the office. Never was I connected with the doctors office but was able to talk to the front desk who passed our concerns along. My wife finally received a call from the doctors office (not from the doctor himself) and was told the notes from the doctor read, "I really have nothing else to offer, try fiber." Never have I seen or heard of such unprofessional and discourteous behavior! The latest is, she is in the process of having an MRI scheduled. She has had two previous breast cancer surgeries and is currently on medication to prevent its return. I only hope and pray that someone with a higher standard of empathy and concern for their patients takes over her diagnosis!
