Patient
I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for Dr. Bodenhamer's life-saving care, provided me during my time visiting Oklahoma in 2016. While attending the FAA Aviation Safety Inspector orientation, at the FAA Mike Monroney Aeronautical Training Center, I suffered a heart attack, requiring quadruple bypass surgery, an operation he skillfully performed. Dr. Bodenhamer's expertise and dedication gave me a new lease on life, for which I will be forever indebted. Since that time, I was able to complete 10 years of service with the FAA before retiring in June of 2025. On August 12, 2025, I returned to the same training center, where I achieved my Designated Pilot Examiner authorization. This milestone begins the next chapter of my aviation journey, one in which I will have the privilege of testing pilot applicants and contributing to the safety of the National Airspace System. None of this would have been possible without Dr. Bodenhamer's skill, compassion, and commitment to his patients. He not only restored my health but also allowed me to continue pursuing my lifelong passion for aviation and serving the flying community. Dr. Bodenhamer will forever have heartfelt thanks for the profound impact he has had on my life.
