Dr. Derek L. Norman, MD

Dr. Norman saved my husband's life and was able to stabilize him enough to be transfered to Integris Baptist Heart Hospital for treatment by a more skilled electrophysiologist than OHH's. Dr. Norman and his nurse, Brian were both wonderful, and provided excellent care and kept us informed. I can't say as much for others at OHH, but will always be grateful for Dr. Norman's skill and concern.

What a great doctor and surgeon. I had a procedure yesterday. He cleaned out a totally blocked artery and inserted 2 stents. I already feel like my old self! He explained everything perfectly, never acted rushed, and was very respectful to my family and to me.

I had a very poor experience with this cardiologist. He has done a heart cath at least 2 times since 2020, both very unpleasant. The first time he went in through my right arm. I was unable to use this arm for over 2 months secondary to severe pain . The second time I specifically asked to see Dr. Randolph, saw him twice and was sent to OKC Heart Hospital , again shifted to Dr. Norman. This time I specifically requested the cath be done in the groin. It has now been well over a month, contacted his office secondary to groin, back of knee, calf pain and my foot swelled up and toes turned purple. Please bear in mind that I live approximately 5 hours one way to the hospital where I was told to come and have dobler done for blood clot. Dopler studies can be completed where we live or within an an hour or where we live, Dr. Norman choice but his office was insistent that I come to OKC. I refused. I work and do not have time to take off for the drive. Also please bear in mind that I was supposed to be seeing Dr. Randolph but instead when I called I was told that I was to see Dr. Norman again. Dr Norman did not change any medication despite my heart tare fluctuates from 46 to 136 and blood pressure runs extremely high (required medication before he could do heart cath.) i signed a HIPPA agreement that no one was to be told about my results but Dr Norman spoke with my family anyway. I was refused an appointment with Dr Randolph despite my request and to this day despite experiencing at least 4 blackouts since the heart cath do not have a follow up appointment. Even my neurologist sent messages with concerns of blackouts and high blood pressure have not received any responses. HIPPA was violated and there appears to be no lack of concern. Just a few months ago I had 2-3 white matter disease issues now I have many which results in dementia and death. So much for caring physician S.

Dr. Norman is an amazing doctor. While I was in the hospital his bedside manner was awesome. All my nurses told me I had the best doctor possible. I concur.

I have had very good experience with this doctor. I thank God for him, I didn't need a stent in my heart, and he checked every area. Thank you, Dr. Norman
