I'm a patient of Dr. Scavina's, through two heart attacks and two stents. I recently ran out of my heart medication and called for a refill and to set up my next appointment. Dr. Scavina only sees me once a year, my last script was in April 2024. I need this medication to regulate my heart rate.
Since it's been over a preset amount of time, two years, they told me I would need to get a referral from my GP to come back to see Dr. Scavina and get the needed heart medication. To get an appointment with my GP will take time, then the new appointment with Dr. Scavina; It's going to take some time.
In the meantime I'm forced to go without heart medication, after having two heart attacks and Dr. Scavina doesn't care. Cold turkey off my heart medication till I can get a referral to see my own heart doctor again. Absolutely unprofessional and places my life in danger. They will not compromise, It's heart medication. They're playing games with my life. Nobody cares.

I was quoted a price for the echocardiogram that my out-of-pocket would be $750 they charged $3,000 more than the national average for an echocardiogram my out-of-pocket was $2,000. The first visit I got an initial charge of over $500 and then a month later they added a professional fee of over $500. I'm afraid to see what actual cost of the heart monitor will be they told me my out-of-pocket would be $500 including the monitoring they do not give you honest pricing I called before each visit
