Ohio State Heart and Vascular Outpatient Care New Albany

Dr Patel is a very caring and skilled cardiologist. He really listens to me and makes me feel like he really cares. He communicates well and takes time to answer my questions. He's always very respectful. Im glad he's my cardiologist, I feel confident I'm getting good care from him. The entire staff is very courteous. I always get treated well and they are also good communicators; answering my questions and helping to get through this new diagnosis , which is very stressful. They help a lot with their care and kindness.

From the minute you walk in you feel like your the only visitor they have for the day. It's a five story facility covering many disciplines and can be a little overwhelming on a first visit. We were greeted immediately by a person at the front desk and then directed by another staffer to check in and making sure we knew where the elevator was. Upon arriving at our floor we were greeted like again we were the most important person in the building and the person that helped us treated us like their best friend. The waiting area was beautiful and inviting. Spotlessly clean and relaxing. Upon being invited in for our visit we were assigned Skyler as our tour guide into the exam room and also our first medical tech. Kristen was soon to follow and made sure every step of the way we were emotionally comfortable and understood everything that was happening and why. The Doctor arrived very promptly. Her manner was excellent on keeping her and you on the same page as to what was happening. You were given many options which I found unique and refreshing. So many times one goes to a doctor you feel you are being dictated too. Our Doctor made sure we knew exactly what medical condition we were dealing with and we were actually asked what steps forward we felt comfortable with. She also explained how we would start out with a cautious approach and work our way through the situation and only escalate treatments as warranted. This surprised us in a good way. With money being a big part of treatments this made us feel what we doing was being done the right way. So many times we have gone in and it seems it's just a toss everything we can think of approach and hopefully we hit the target. That's not the feeling you get at OSU. The visit was great. You felt they prescribed the necessary medications erring on the side of caution. We were offered a group of test and told the benefits and why we were doing them. So much of a disease can have devastating mental trauma. When we left that was relieved by now knowing what we were up against. Notice I used the word we as by the time we left the fear was gone and we felt we had a team that cared about us like family This facility was a bit of a challenge to find so it was nice that staff made sure we had comfortable directions for our trip in. After we finished we visited the cafe on the first floor. You can smell the yummy delights that await when you check in on the first floor. It's off the hallway behind the check in desk. All the staff raved about it when we talked about it. We had some of the best Bacon sandwiches we have ever had. It's the sweet fig spread the put on the toast. That sweet and savory combo of the Bacon with the Mayo is super tasty. As crazy as it sounds we have decided to drop in for lunch even if we don't have a medical appointment. It's that good. All we can say is " Good job everyone you should be proud".

Dr. Lampert and his staff are fantastic in every stage of professionalism and personal care and commitment to the patient. They have truly made a difference in my health and my life. I respect, appreciate and trust them completely.

My appointment with Dr. Afzahl was great. I learned a lot about my condition because he is really expert at explaining things in a direct and clear way but also with kindness and a bit of humor. He spent enough time with me so that the appointment never felt rushed. I got some directions about medication and I feel that I know what the next steps should be.

Chandler was professional, pleasant, and made the procedure a very comfortable experience. I was greeted cheerfully at registration and my wait time was very minimal. Great experience all the way around.
