Michael Moront, MD, FACS

In 1994 I was 21 yr old and Dr. Michael Moront saved my life by performing the Ross procedure and being that it was my fourth open heart surgery (4, 8 & 9 yrs. old) I was at a very high risk. I am currently 53 yrs old now and still doing fairly well health wise considering my medical history. Hopefully Dr. Moront will see this post so I can let him know I am doing good and to Thank him once again for everything he had done for me and being the skilled Doctor that he is. P.s. I forgot to mention that Toledo 11 News (Melissa V.) did video coverage of my Ross procedure surgery and interviewed myself and Dr. Moront on September 2nd of 1994 and the even better part is that I got to go home from the hospital on Sept. 7th my 22nd birthday. From the moment I walked in the office door, I felt at ease. Staff and Dr. Moront were very kind and professional. Dr. Moront explained everything in terms we could understand and answered all of my questions. I couldn't ask for anything any better.

My favorite aspect of Dr. Moront, is that he keeps things "real." All who see him, are more than aware of the severity of their own situation. I, or rather I say, we, face an extremely unique procedure. Therefore, it's a great deal reassuring to know, that he empowers me the knowledge, not just of the good potential, but also the bad. I'm not in need of niceties. I'm in need of the realties. I will always be grateful to Dr. Moront, for that.

Dr. Moront performed quadruple bypass on me in 2008. I moved to North Carolina in 2017. I got, I believe, one of the best cardiologist in the city I moved to. After 12 years my cardiologist in North Carolina thought it was time to do a procedure to see how the bypass was going and make sure I didn't need to have a stint put in. He was completely amazed at how clear my arteries still were and very much impressed with Dr. Moront procedure. He couldn't say enough wonderful things about the procedure that Dr. Moront had done on my heart and my bypass surgery. I was so thankful he was the cardiologist on call when I was told I needed bypass surgery. Once I spoke to him and he told me what he would be doing, I felt completely at ease. He was so compassionate.I would highly highly recommend Dr. Moront to anybody looking for a cardiac surgeon. I thank G-d and pray for him every single day. All I can say is G-d bless Dr Moront

Dr Moront was personable, knowledgeable, and open. He was prepared for our visit and had reviewed my chart. He clearly explained my situation, made recommendations, allowed me to ask questions, provided direct answers, and offered suggestions. Top notch. We're lucky to have a doctor of his caliber in Toledo.
