Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital

Absolutely loved my OB nurses! Every one was super friendly and supportive. I had a great experience. I was honestly very nervous because I didn't have a positive experience with my first son (3 years prior). But, I have nothing but positive things to say this time!

Staff was very nice. The wait to even see a doctor after getting called back to the emergency department was ridiculous. 4 hour wait and they weren't even busy. Not only did they misdiagnose me but gave me the wrong antibiotics for what was wrong. Had to go to Galion hospital a few days later and then got admitted to that hospital since mercy health misdiagnosed me and the situation got worse. Ended up with a hospital stay and iv antibiotics after being seen at mercy health. I will not be back.

I just recently gave birth to my 3rd baby girl here. The girls are very laid back and let you run your own birth. I went in at midnight 5 cm with contractions I did get the epidural and was very surprised that they did not do the catheter until after you gave birth if needed, as my first two were at St Rita's in Lima. I had Dr Hedges. He's very good and turns out it's his last weekend before he retires. Overall I would recommend this hospital.

The level of disrespect I experienced from a hospital employee was unacceptable. They were rude, unprofessional, and spoke in a condescending manner. Hospitals should be safe and supportive environments, and this behavior does not reflect that. I sincerely hope this is taken seriously and corrected. If you don't like your job move it along!

I'm giving 4 stars because the birthing and labor staff were amazing. Best birth experience I've had. Special shout out to Andrea! The shortcoming of the hospital experience; staffing seems scarce in certain areas. Also when I was induced I basically got in right before the shift change so it was a slow start getting me induced. If I plan on having another baby, I'll be coming back here!
