Poorly run office. My husband has confidence in Drr Cohen but when calling the office you sit on hold. I've been trying for several days to call the office to make an appointment and sat on hold for 2 hours and had to hang up. Trying again today and it's going on 49 minutes still on hold. Unacceptable
Dr. Cohen placed a stint in my loved one following a heart attack. I asked for assistance from him and staff to help coordinate cardiac rehab. After my loved one exhibited worsening symptoms of vascular dementia I expressed my increasing concerns with his office on repeated occasions. My loved one's mother had a stroke and now worsening symptoms. I have worked with cardiovascular and stroke patients, taught in the field of prevention and even co-authored chapters on cardiovascular disorders and interviewing the elderly. I've worked in cardiac and cognitive assessment and rehab. I had a cardiac thoracic PA and relative contact the office requesting specific carotid tests and even moved the appointment up ONE MONTH after considerably effort. Obviously he did not review chart notes prior to our visit. He challenged my concerns in front of the patient, which of course made her more resistant to intervention. He refused to order any requested carotid workups or an ultrasound. She is now exhibiting more TIAs. IF YOU WANT HIM AS A SURGEON, HE MAY BE ADEQUATE. HOWEVER, IF YOU WANT A PHYSICIAN AND OFFICE TO LISTEN TO CONCERNS AND HELP SAVE YOUR LOVED ONE FROM A HORRIBLE AND PREVENTABLE DECLINE ...GO ELSEWHERE. Dr. Elizabeth Semenchuk
