This doctor brushed off my daughters symptoms saying she needs more salt in her diet, our doctor wanted a heart monitor and dr bockoven was very upset that we went to another dr outside of Akron children's and proceeded to ask me " how much money I have in savings" because he said that Medicaid won't pay for the monitor and kept saying to me " come on just say what you're thinking I can see it on your face just say it" but my daughter was already upset by him raising his voice and asking about the money and crashing out about how "Caresource people just want all of these tests they can't afford". I didn't say anything and he calmed down and apologized and then said he will order the monitor. I've never had a doctor in any specialty raise their voice, we were just trying to figure what was going on with her. Another cardiologist properly diagnosed my daughter and started her on a treatment plan. This guy should not be practicing if he is so stressed about government insurance, maybe he should get his own office so he doesn't have to make low income people feel horrible. Akron Children's just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to file a complaint with the medical board. Don't go to this guy.
