Requested for Good Faith Estimates before ultrasound for my spouse. The final bill was almost 2.5 times the estimate provided. Tried to followup on the discrepancy of charges and most of the numbers provided on SW website don't work or are going to wrong departments. SW general says the radiologist is a separate bill and I need to check with Radiology and Radiology says they did not provide estimate and I have to follow up with SW. Why even provide Good Faith Estimate if you are not going to honor it.

On 10.8.25 PCA named Kayla hit my 2 day old newborn in the head with metal paper towel rack while performing a sponge bath did not tell us the injury immediately told the RN Pamela Reynolds about what happened who ALSO didn't inform me of the injuries they lied and said they were taking him for his evaluation that is when they performed an xray without my consent and after having him for 2 hours the pediatrician came back and acted nonchalant saying they had to do an xray due to a possible fracture that is when I found out about the injury. Then they said we had to be transferred to UH rainbow babies cause they don't have the medical equipment to handle the injury. When asked who is going to be paying for this since a staff member caused injury we were then asked "don't you have insurance?" That isn't the point someone caused injury and we are suppose to eat the expense?? Worst postpartum unit ever none of the staff took my health serious until it was almost too late avoid at all costs and now trying to contact patient relations since I'm getting all these medical bills from UH due to their negligence and they don't want to own up to their stupidity of the staff and think we are just going to pay for it. They have another thing coming and they will be hearing from my lawyer.

My 87 year old mother-in-law was in the D wing, the week August 6-10. The staff were generally unfriendly, appeared annoyed & on their phones a lot! In particular, Dominique was very inconsiderate & rude! She acted as if, we were a bother....perhaps she should consider another profession! The room was not clean, no one came to clean the room. We had to ask for a toothbrush, and no one bathed my mother-in-law! However, there were some nurses that showed compassion, and had bedside manners. Lastly, there was a nurse's assistant that recorded the blood sugar numbers wrong twice, which is totally unacceptable (jeopardizing my mother-in-law's life)! It was not a good experience for any of us...we were so glad when she was discharged.

Specifically for the care at the cosgrove maternity ward. We were delayed to have our baby induced and the staff was extremely apologetic. Understaffed and high volume of babies being born, the team here is incredible. This was my second delivery here. My primary nurse Macey is so kind, caring and friendly. Bubbly and professional, she made my experience go so smoothly and was so personable.
After in recovery all of our nurses were fantastic. Brenda Teddy and Emma were attentive, friendly and made me feel our concerns and voices were heard.
Shout out to Olivia whom is probably the sweetest, nicest staff member I've ever had! She is truly in the right profession.

My husband had unexpected open heart surgery and the cardiac unit was very caring. Their care was excellent. The doctors he seen were excellent as well. Recently he went in for an Heart Ablation. The nurses were attentive for his overnight stay. The doctor seen him before he went home and explained what to expect.
