Awful bedside manner. She couldn't get out of the room fast enough she just brushed my husband off and would not listen to his concerns at all about his chest pains. Saying she spent 3 minutes in the room with him would be a stretch. What a horrible experience and how disappointing. A medical professional should help calm their patients fears. My husband was literally begging her to listen to him and she never took her hand off the doorknob.

My wife and I saw her in '22 for her heart rhythm being off. She did come back with a back flow valve and other issues that should have pointed a doctor to what her actual problem was, because that's what doctors do. But my real issue with her was her attitude. Awful attitude. She basically acted like it wasn't her problem, didn't care to be there, like she was bored and honestly made me think she was homophobic. Terrible. Maybe a class on how to talk to patients would be good. She did not help at all. She actually made us switch to University Hospitals where my wife was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism that could have easily been found had she put her on the beta blockers we asked about but she didn't want to put my wife on them because of how "healthy" she was. Now she's on them due to the hyperthyroidism that has messed up her valves. There were so many valid issues going on because her heart was not healthy, she wore a heart monitor for a week and things were caught. She was not healthy, she had hyperthyroidism, this could have been caught earlier and this should have been caught earlier. You are not always the smartest one in the room and every doctor should try to find the root of the problem. ALWAYS even if they are bored with the problem, think they are too good for the problem, or don't agree with that patients life style. Be better.

She was pleasant. But definitely did not listen to my concerns or what I said. She did want to hear anything I had to say once I told her I smoke marijuana. Said everything was resulting from that. Found a different cardiologist to say the least.

Your heart could not be in better hands!
At my age, I've seen a few cardiologists, all of them male, until Dr. Sparano. They were all fast-talking men who couldn't get out of the exam room fast enough. Forget about answering questions or making sure I understood what they were telling me.
Dr. Sparano was a breath of fresh air. Both she and her staff took their time, asked intelligent and leading questions to get the details they needed, then took time to be absolutely certain I understood them and answered each and every question I had.
Her education, personality, competence and honors will serve you well.
