Kettering Health Main Campus

I would give 10 stars if I could to the L&D and Postpartum care workers at Kettering Main. Special shoutout to my L&D nurse Nae as she was absolutely amazing in helping me deliver my daughter. One of the best in the field:) The next two days spent under Mommy and Me care were also amazing. All nurses were so friendly and helpful with anything I needed. They were so great at helping me get back on my feet again. I can't thank the team here enough. 10/10 care at Kettering Main.

I had a major health scare and was admitted into the cardiac unit at Kettering main campus. I just want to take the time to express my gratitude and appreciation for the staff. Everyone was nothing short but wonderful, attentive and downright incredible. At the end of my stay I had a nurse named Brandy, and she will stick with me forever. I have never seen someone hold so much compassion, understanding and care. She deserves all the praise. Her empathy, understanding and friendliness made my situation 10000% easier. I'm not sure I could've handled my stay without her guidance. Thank you.

I went there Wednesday night for stomach pain. Emergency room staff was great. ER doctor admitted me for gallbladder. Surgeon couldn't give me an answer until after the x-ray test. Two male doctors came in and told me that surgery team will decide if I need surgery. They proceed to inform me about weight loss and it can help improve your gallbladder. If you read my chart, you would know I had gastric sleeve surgery in January. Rapid weight loss can cause gallbladder issues. They both seemed surprised about the weight loss. You didn't read my medical records, very unprofessional. No doctor or surgeon came back to see me. My nurse had to inform me that I wasn't getting surgery and that I was discharged. I immediately made an appointment with my family doctor. She said they should of removed your gallbladder, you have a bunch stones and it's not functioning properly. I'm scheduled with Miami Valley Hospital to get my gallbladder removed. I will never go back to Kettering Hospital. No communication. Nobody reads your chart. Nobody will speak to you about your results.

Worst hospital experience EVER. Where to begin, no one talks to each other or reads charts I don't know how many new nurses are doctors I had to remind I was type 1 diabetic, how many times I had to call for and wait hours on insulin. Who gives a no food order at after midnight then doesn't do procedure until 4pm the next day, again to a type 1 diabetic? One procedure was two hours late, another was set for the afternoon did not happen until 4pm which was a bedside lumbar spin tap that two separate nurses failed. Not to say some nurses and doctors are not great but when you have several problems in one visit it's concerning. I ABSOLUTELY do not recommend this location at this time. Several procedures I declined because they were clearly a money grab or the doctor was just that incompetent that they ignored I take water pills at home they did not give them here and she believed I needed ultrasound to find a blood clot because ALL my limbs were swollen.

I've had a great experience with all Kettering physicians!! Only docking a star because I called the main number this morning after an urgent care visit where I was advised to make an appointment with a general surgeon and was told it would be easier to call the main line and be transferred to scheduling... only to be told by some lady on the other line "yeah that's not what this line is for, it's not for making or cancelling appointments" and that I'd have to reach out to a general surgeon tomorrow because it's Sunday. Because of her rude response I asked to clarify whether she was able to transfer me and was told there's nobody to transfer me to because the offices aren't open which I already understood, her response was just so rude that I felt the need to point out that she was absolutely able to transfer me to someone that COULD help had the offices been open. I've commended Kettering for their kind and compassionate staff and am disappointed in my experience with whoever it was I spoke to this morning. Otherwise though, fantastic practice!
