Patient
I talked with Casey (I believe that was his name) about scheduling an appointment with a new doctor. He was extremely kind and patient. Thanks for the help!

I have been going to the doctors of OhioHealth Physician Group Primary Care Gahanna long before they became part of the Ohio Health group. The doctors have been great, especially Dr. Auyang and David Flowers; however, since they joined the OhioHealth group, the office staff and technology have degraded. It used to be you could call and talk to a live person, now all you get are phone trees and message machines and having to wait hours or days for replies. My recent experience with a pain prescription that I needed the same day has been fouled up so bad that it will take days, if not a week, to get it delivered to me. They do not answer calls from the pharmacist even after I contact the doctor's office and telling them the pharmacy is trying to reach out to them to clarify the drug's instructions. Minor incidents have happened in the past, but this is a big issue as I cannot get my pain meds after running out several days ago and making a video appointment five days ago. And to top it off, they incorrectly sent the prescription, during this process, to my mail order pharmacy instead of my local one, which adds a week or more to receive the drug. Very frustrated and disappointed.
I do not like being forced to leave negative reviews about caretakers, but I feel that new patients in need of assistance need to know the truth. My wife and I had been patients of this practice for a single year. We had recently moved from a small rural community where our medical needs were more than taken care of. In the beginning, we were pleased by the professionalism and kind nature provided by the practitioners. But that was soon overshadowed by egregious mishandling of our diabetic needs, my wife's constant headaches and the constant confusion of our prescriptions. Every time we visited, we had to remind them what medication we were taking. The doctor quickly stopped prescribing a migraine medication she had been taking for years without explanation and we could never get them to prescribe our diabetic medications along with our supplies. Unless I am an idiot, I am not aware of a method of taking insulin from a pen that does not include needles. These transgressions upset us tremendously, but we were tired of looking for another doctor and weathered their incompetence. When the nurse practitioner Kathy yelled at my wife for not caring for herself and not taking her care seriously that was the last straw. There is no reason for blatant disrespect of your patients and a lack of basic care. I should not have to remind you to prescribe every single item of my care. If that was the case, I would not need you. They have a practice of terminating any form of pain medication that you were previously subscribed without actually understanding what the underlying issue is. We overheard another patient in the waiting room complaining about the exact same issue. If you are a person who has no chronic illnesses and a stomach for disrespect, I absolutely recommend this practice. Otherwise, I recommend a doctor and nurse practitioner staff that actually wants to do their job.
I have been going to OhioHealth Primary Care Physicians for years and have seen Lauren A and have really enjoyed her as my Dr. For some reason the Doctors office scheduled me with Dr. Trout for my annual physical so I didn't ask any questions and went with it. I was sent a bill after my visit - charging me for my physical that should be covered under my insurance. I spoke with billing at OhioHealth as well as a representative from my insurance company and I was hoping I could speak with Dr. Trout to get an understanding of why I am being charged for something that is covered and why he didn't make sure that he followed in line with my insurance when he had my blood drawn for my physical. I still have to pay for this since Dr. Trout would not return any of my phone calls - I left him 2 voicemails weeks ago. He does not care about his patients and I will not be returning to this office.
Extreamly disrespectful people on the phone and the front desk. I made an appont a month ago and i recieved an email saying to arrive 15 minutes early and I filled out my information online. The black receptionist was talking about how I was late, and the staff member should just send me back because i was supposed to come 30 minutes early, not 15 minutes. The staff members spoke about me and my husband while we were standing there. I was upset and humiliated. They refused to see and did not apologize once. Ohio Health needs to educate them on etiquette. Will never go there again.
