Patient
WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE FOR MY FIRST APPOINTMENT WITH DR. DITTOE. It has been a long time since I've seen a Dr whose first act was to lean back in his seat and simply ask me, "George, what brings you in today? Then came the second surprise. He actually allowed me to explain what I believed was my medical issue WITHOUT INTERRUPTING ME. With a little humor I was waiting for someone to jump out and tell me I'm being "punked"!!! Being both Respectful AND Polite simultaneously almost seems like an OXYMORON. How REFRESHING it was to find out that it is not. The medical community seems like a distant memory to many my age. The medical community use to be the single most desirable dream I had when I was attending College. Truly at that moment in time it was actually Modus Operandi for ALL the medical community to give the kind of care to each patient AS IF THEY WERE TREATING THEMSELVES! Sounds like GOD'S Golden Rule, doesn't it. Dr. Dittoe brought back that old feeling where you want to go tell everyone that this Dr is MY DOCTOR!!!! And as long as Dr Dittoe will allow me to be his patient, it will be my honor to tell everyone that he's my Dr. The medical problem I was being seen for was also examined by 10 other Drs over many years. It took Dr. Dittoe 10 minutes to nail it. I have a post doctoral education in Chemistry, Psychology and Biology. After graduating from College I went on to fly Jet Fighters for 12 years for the Marine Corps. I flew 30 years with Delta Air Lines. Most people who meet me do not doubt I graduated from the 3rd grade. Since I retired and, like the rest of us, had to sign up with Medicare. Between these last two items, retiring and being on Medicare a LARGE PERCENTAGE of medical professionals treat you mental as if you DIDN'T graduate from that proverbial 3rd grade. I'm personally tired of it. Dr Dittoe truly lift my belief once more that there are truly excellent professionals out there. It was nice to know that I wasn't the average retired person who goes in only to have my symptoms treated (that way if they don't "heel" you then you must keep coming back and getting "milked" for whatever your insurance will pay. Now I actually feel as I'm being "diagnosed" so I can heal and get back to living life. Thank you, Dr. Dittoe George F. Nolte Captain of Marines Captain Delta Air Lines
