Patient
I dismissed him from treating my mother when she was in ICU. He had no bedside manner, always kept you waiting even when scheduled to be first appointment of the day (1 hour was not unusual with an understanding that he WAS NOT, late because of an emergency). My mother, visitors and I were very disturbed by how berating and belittling he was to staff and caregivers at Southwest. Diagnosis was not always right and treatment didn't seem to make sense . Mom's former Dr. (Dr. Kaluya) haphazardly sent her to Dr. Rakhit forwarding her records to him because he was apparently retiring. To any patient of his, trust your gut and get second opinions when prescribed controlled substances and if he suggests procedures or surgery.
