Steven Nissen has opposed the accreditation of calcium testing for over a decade. 4 million people could have been saved had this testing been approved earlier. The more information or data is better. What could be wrong with knowing how much calcium is being built up in your arteries? His view on cardiology and helping people is very disappointing and myopic. My father died at the hands of these surgeons at Cleveland Clinic. The only solution in their tool kit is surgery. These guys are like robots. They quickly dismiss other solutions, e.g., diet, vitamins, e.g., Vitamin K, MK4, MK7, Magnesium, and others . I would encourage them to have a better understanding in biochemistry and how the various proteins work that cause heart disease. I would stay away from Cleveland Clinic.
