My mother has been a diabetic for about 15 years now and has developed some cardiovascular issues that were affecting flow to one of her her feet. After utilizing two MAJOR institutions in the Northwest Indiana area, one that was doing multiple procedures with no success and the the second of which we were told she would lose her foot after a failed procedure, we decided we needed to step in and do some of our own research and see what else was out there. We found a doctor out at the Universities Hospital in Cleveland. This doctor had done procedures to save limbs of patients who were told otherwise. This was Dr. Mehdi H. Shishehbor. I was able to find his email via google and shot him an email the evening after we had received the news that she would lose her foot. Believe it or not, he responded about 40 minutes later and said "It would be an honor" for him to see our mother and check her out. He took her in the next week for an appointment and did a procedure on my mother the following day. He was able to clear her blockage in her foot, which was in mid October. This week we went back for her follow up and she had another doppler test done and the test showed that her flow is almost back to normal in that foot. She is now walking better, sleeping better, and overtime her surgery wounds and foot sores will heal with proper care. We are forever grateful we did not just sit back. We will always be forever grateful for Dr. Shishehbor and his team in Cleveland.

Dr Shishehbor preformed surgery on my grandfather 2 1/2 years ago, and saved his leg and life. We were sent to University Hospital on a second opinion, the other hospital said all they could do was amputate the leg do to poor circulation. Dr Shishehbor and his team preformed the LimFlow procedure, at the time a clinic trial, and saved his entire leg! Unfortunately he still had to have all of his toes amputated, but he is doing amazing now!! We can't thank Dr Shishehbor and his team enough for all they did, and continue to do, for us!

Dr. Sishehbor saved my dad's foot from being amputated. The procedure that he and his team performed was able to restore enough blood flow to start a healing process. Prior to seeing Dr. Sishehbor, dad was told that amputation was the only option.

Dr. Shishehbor saved my husband's foot. He developed a diabetic ulcer on his foot. It had gotten infected and the infection was spreading quickly. He did a angioplasty and brought back circulation to his foot. Now almost healed completely. I am blessed we got to meet him

My husband had a fall that resulted in two toe infected wounds. When he was admitted to the hospital for intravenous medications, leg ultrasounds showed that he had nobody flow to the infected toes. The attending vein/vascular doctor told us that there wasn't anything they could do. My husband reached out to Dr. Shishehbor, who is his heart & vascular doctor, sending pictures of the infected toes. Within a week, he was seen by Dr. Shishehbor and students and a week later in for an angioplasty. Dr. Shishehbor and team were successful in opening two arteries bringing blood to the toes. Though a very busy doctor, Dr. Shishehbor is attentive and result motivated. My husband's foot is on the mend.
