Not sure what the problem is with other reviewers. My husband sees Dr. James for heart failure and she is awesome. Appointments are on time and she never rushes him through. All questions are answered thoroughly. She is very kind and compassionate. My husband really likes her. 5 stars from us.

I came in for a 2nd opinion on my heart failure. I thought for that is anyone could help me with my shortness of breath, my quality of life and my chest discomfort that it would be The Cleveland Clinic. I spent more time in the waiting room, more time with the nurse and not even 15 minutes with the doctor. Her bedside manner was cold and you could tell she already had her mind made up before she even came in the door. No options available to me at all. Nothing to help improve my quality of life and certainly nothing to help me breathe easier. It was a wasted trip.

I dont know why Dr. James would be blasted like this. Pill pusher and the pharmaceutical companies? Give me a break. Surgery is never the first option. The heart is treated with medication and change in diet with exercise. I went in with CHF (EF 15). I took the meds and took their advice (except for giving up beer, I like my beer on Saturdays). 8 years later and I'm at normal range. I had afib also. I tried the meds, it didnt work, I then had an ablation and that worked. Cleveland clinic saved my life and quality of life. They deserve praise, not being ripped apart. Dr. James is also friendly, why would anyone say shes not? She also explains problems with the heart and how the medication works. I give her an A+

She told me I was overweight and couldn't get a heart transplantAnd then didn't even tell me weight I could get down to. I have 50 lb of the weight I have is water from retaining water. I bet if I had 500 million dollars.they would give me a heart transplant then also take the water off me

Went to Dr. Karen james for a second opinion & to have her run test to compare them with other test i'v had done and all she did was waste 3 hours of my time waiting for her to see me plus the 2 1/2 hours it took me to drive to cleveland to see her & she did absolutely nothing but listen to my breathing and told me she wouldn't do any test. she just want's to add to the pills that i'm already doing and the pharmaceutical companies want her to push, She is no different then the other pill pushing doctor's that are in coahoots with the pharmaceutical companies, It's a shame doctor's lose sight of what's is right and only do what the almighty pharmaceutical's dictate, so they can afford the new S U V's they like to drive. I feel sorry for her as a Doctor and the other's like her that are in it for the money they can take from the hard working people who trust and look to them for help and guidance . MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON ALL OF YOU DOCTORS !!! that have lost sight of why they became Doctors in the first place. They will say O he's just mad and they will be right and the bad part is I shouldn't Be, I should get the treatment I ask for and my insurance company and I are paying for. It's a wonder She and them can sleep at all.
