If you or your loved one is having a mental health crisis, come here for help. If you are black or POC (I am a black woman) you will feel safe and comfortable here. The Adena Behavioral Health Unit is amazing! The nurses are fantastic, the way the program is structured is to get you help, and get you home. No worries about frightening experiences here. This is the best mental health treatment I've ever gotten. Dr. King is amazing, she helped me a lot. By time I left, I felt more secure with programs, information, and medication that is helping me get my mental health stable and begin my healing process with the RIGHT therapy. As someone who's struggled since my youth, I can say, I am very grateful. Please please...if you're struggling or know someone who is, this is the place to start.

The Adena Behavioral Unit is the best! If you or someone you know is having a mental health crisis, this is the place to come. The caregivers, nurses, and staff are wonderful. The food is good, you will not go hungry. Everyone there is supportive and wants to see you get better! No worries about being mistreated. The nursing staff alone is a five!!!!! We were on 3A and 2A. The social workers, with the possible exception of one, were not consistent. MyChart messages were rarely responded to in either a timely manner or not at all. The floor doctors varied in level of care. But as I said at the beginning the nurses were great!!!!! They were exceptional in our mother's final hours. At her death they treated her with kindness and respect. They verified her status and then explained clearly what would be happening to her. The nurses and aids at the least in our case will be one of our best memories as we think back on our mother's final days.

Adena hospital is the place you go to die ( as i tell everyone) . Unprofessional and rude is just the tip of it. We are now driving to the next hospital over for better staffing and treatments.
Due to the lack of concern for patients complaints, I lost 2 beautiful baby nieces because someone was apparently " being dramatic " going in with the issues she had. They didn't take it seriously until it was WAY too late.
My mother got bad treatment during her time of fighting cancer. Apparently she was dramatic too.
So no, never in this life will I respect adena or the staffing
