WakeMed Heart & Vascular - Vascular Surgery - Raleigh Campus

Our experience from the emergency room to the heart pain center was excellent. Everyone from the wonderful nurses,doctors and assistants made our concerning visit bearable. Everyone took time to explain the next steps to be taken and was very attentive to our questions and concerns. Thank you to Lauren, Michelle,Amy, Dr. Haag and Dr. N. for all you did for my husband!

Dr. Charles and his staff that provided care for us (Tasha and Carolyn) were kind, patient and professional. We were warmly welcomed and treated. We were impressed by Dr. Charles' credentials and knowledge and he exhibited sincere interest in our case. Excellent communication from everyone. We would highly recommend this practice.

i had procedures at the heart center on 4/16/2019. ALL of the team involved did a great job. they made sure i was comfortable, and that i understood what was happening. my special thanks to my RN, Adrianna, who stayed with me through the whole thing and showed caring and expertise that was above and beyond.

Except for spending too much time getting lost, I couldn't ask for more as the patient's wife. Most times someone walked; me to where I needed to go. When I was trying to leave I was given 3 different directions and went full circle a couple of times until someone walked me to where I needed to go. I can't tell you how grateful I was for that young man and for those many others who did the same before. This was just one unfortunate incident. The good news is, besides the young man? My watch showed that I walked 2.5 miles that day! It was a win!

Wake Med Heart Center leaves no stone unturned to make our visits comfortable! From the minute my husband and I drive up to the front door, and a cheerful volunteer brings a wheelchair to our car, we feel cared for in every way. Several times we have spent the night in their first rate hospital hotel which is only a floor above the doctors office.Of course the most important reason we drive almost 3 hours one way to get to Wake Med is because of my husband's heart doctor, Stuart Russell whom we followed from Johns Hopkins. One is lucky to have one such experience in a lifetime with a doctor of his caliber. Both a brilliant diagnostician and a caring he is a heart doctor with heart. His staff, headed by Pam Daughtry, is outstanding. More than once they have told us thst they are as as happy to work with him as we are to be in his care.
