I want to express my extreme disappointment with WakeMed cardiologist, Dr. Hari. I went to Dr. Hari last week and she recommended a heart stress test. After the appointment, when I arrived at the receptionist's desk she informed me that the stress test order had not come through yet, but it would be and they would schedule it anyway. I was told to be back in the office on 10/26 at 9 AM.
I arrive at 8:55 AM today and not only I am told that the stress test order has not come through, but no stress tests can be done until the doctor arrives at 11 AM. They ask me to wait in the office all day until the afternoon at which time they can see me.
I drove an hour round trip for that appointment. I took off from work, and I moved work appointments around so that I could be present and on time. Treating patients as if their time is unimportant is unacceptable. These providers will charge you $50 for not showing up for an appointment, but when they show incompetence they merely shrug their shoulders. Something has got to change in the health care industry.

I asked her and the receptionist and her techs if she could schedule a very specific test, all said yes. But first she needed more info. Makes sense. Did the other stuff for more info, comes back. The monitor didn't show when I tried to set a Mark or whatever (blame it on me, probably my fault idk). Said all the tests are fine. I'm fine there's no reason for me to be there, and just do common sense stuff, wear compression socks, eat salt and drink water, but I'm fine... and she can't schedule the test, someone else has to schedule the test, she can't. She referred me under pressure from me to someone else in her practice that she said could schedule the test. I get there, he's great, but it's not what he does he would need to refer me to someone else! But he does say that he has no doubt that there's something wrong, and refers my elsewhere. In addition to Dr. Hari's disbelief and not listening to what I was trying to tell her, didn't want to listen, cut me off and didn't care about my symptoms. I would completely avoid wasting your time and money with her.

Unfortunately, I met Dr. Hari in the emergency room at Wake Med. After getting tests most of the day with nothing evidently wrong. Dr. Hari continued to investigate and found the blockage in my LDA. Very grateful for her resilience and perseverance.
