Our highly skilled cardiovascular surgeons perform all aspects of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular surgery. Before, during and after surgery, our patients are cared for by our team of well-trained nurses, perfusionists and other medical professionals in close collaboration with cardiologists, pulmonologists, oncologists and other specialists in Internal Medicine. Immediately after surgery, most of our patients are cared for in the Cardiovascular ICU and, subsequently, in the Cardiovascular Intermediate Care Unit.

The office staff, mainly Libby and Tamika, were an absolute nightmare to work with. Tamika violated my HIPAA rights at least once, for which I'm filing a report. Libby, the office manager, never apologized and only made excuses for the mistakes her office staff made. The Dr seemed very caring and thorough and Vicki did as well. Unfortunately, I'll never get a chance to fully see how great the Dr is, because his staff was so uncooperative and condescending.
I was under the impression that this doctor had me fixed. However after just two years and seven months of having two mechanical valves placed in me one isn't working but 10 percent. I was sent to UNC chapel hill and now waiting for surgery to repair the mess up. Not once has this office called to speak with me. The Doctors at UNC said that I did anything wrong to cause the failure. I am young and have children still in school and now I am having to worry about being here to see them graduate. The fact is go somewhere else if you need major repairs done. The doctor has a 5 star rating however he took my case and assured me that he could fix it. These valves should not be failing they should have lasted 20 years
I was diognosed with lung cancer at 54 years old. I was sent to Dr. Kim and he & his staff did extra testing, were very concerned about trying to remove my lung before the cancer could advance. This all happened at the beginning of the COVID lock down etc. I was immediately scheduled for surgery . I had to be dropped off , no family allowed during my whole stay at the hospital. Dr. Kim & his staff were awesome. They knew I was alone through this scary time in my life & made sure I was well taken care of, had everything I needed or wanted . I have been doing continued care with them since and then and still I am treated awesome and with concern & extremely well.
