Avoid this place. Brought my brother here. The pa was rude. I was asking a question about how to help with my brothers issues and she told me to hush and let her talk. She's lucky I didn't cuss her out but I didn't want to embarrass my brother. Then we sat here forever waiting on a tetanus shot and steroid shot. While they are busy celebrating someone's birthday. The nurse's look like they don't want to be here. I knew we shouldn't have came to this place. The floors are dirty. The wall cover to the plug ins was broken. I'll never come back here. Then you have nurse's in here cussing. It's like this if you don't like working with people and taking care of someone get another job damn. Definitely don't recommend this place. I'll drive as far as I need to to avoid this place. This whole place needs to be trained on compassion and how to treat people and do their job right. Y'all suck. These nurses look hateful and they are definitely rude. One walking around coughing on stuff before she goes into a room. Put some gloves on when y'all are touching people. Just nasty We are still sitting here 3 hours later. Just waiting on 2 shots and release paperwork.

Dr. Bryan Blitstein was my general surgeon who performed a hernia repair operation December 3 at Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital. He and his team were first class in every way. He is a gifted surgeon and great communicator. He was certain I completely understood the procedure and had a great bedside manner. He was very attentive to my needs as a patient. Thank you!!!

My grandmother recently stayed at this hospital, and while we appreciated some aspects of her care, there were several concerning issues that I feel should be addressed. First, the doctors were excellent. They were attentive, professional, and communicated clearly with our family. We always felt confident in the medical decisions being made and genuinely felt that the physicians cared about her well-being. Unfortunately, our experience with some of the nursing staff was not as positive. A few nurses seemed overwhelmed or disengaged, sometimes even complaining about how long their shifts had been. This impacted the reliability of her day-to-day care. Some specific issues we encountered included: * Multiple charting errors or omissions. * Her hygiene care wasn't documented, and at one point a nurse commented that it looked like she hadn't been cleaned for days due to the lack of charting. * She was forgotten at dinnertime, and no meal was brought to her. * A nurse documented that she received medication which she actually had not been given. However, the most alarming incident was when my grandmother called the emergency line because she couldn't breathe. The call stayed connected, which meant she couldn't call again. She waited about 10 minutes without help, struggling to breathe alone in her room. The only reason she eventually received assistance was because her door was left open, and someone walking in the hallway overheard her distress and came in to help. This was frightening for her and deeply upsetting for our family. Experiences like this are extremely stressful for vulnerable patients. I truly hope the hospital takes feedback like this seriously and improves communication, responsiveness, and basic safety procedures within the nursing team. The medical staff--especially the doctors--show a lot of strength and compassion, but the overall patient experience could be significantly improved with more consistent care and attention.

Exceptionally SLOW service across the board 3 hours plus wait in the Emergency Room. Another appointment in Endoscopy 2 hours plus waiting in a closet sized waiting room there. Hope this gets better soon.

I would give zero stars if I could. Dr Franklin in the emergency department is the absolute worst Dr i have ever encountered. Charge nurse Kevin was disrespectful. I was there for chest pain blood pressure on arrival of 212/118 and was accused of drug seeking. Mind you I have had a widowmaker heart attack, a Stent placed , 100 %blocked carotid in my neck. I have never been so disrespected by any Dr. I will never go back. Apparently they need a refresher on hypocratic oath. I have filed a complaint and will be filing one with the nc medical board. If I need to I will go to the news. Nobody deserves to be treated the way Dr Franklin does... I suggest if you find yourself in need of emergency help and he's on duty run, run as fast as you can.
