Made an appointment and had to wait 4 months to be seen as a new patient. I have moved and needed a new doctor. I had surgery only a few months before I made this appointment and I am still in a great deal of pain. I wait patiently for my spot for FOUR months. I get a call 4 days before and they tell me they need to change the appointment because the doctor will be at the hospital that day. They have to change it to about 2 weeks later. The only date available in the next month or so is this one. It is the one day I have to be at court. But I am in so much pain I start talking to my lawyer to try and change the date because my pain takes priority. The woman on the phone gave no understanding for my frustration at being pushed further out when I have been waiting so long. I call to make sure that I am on the waitlist and she said I am but the doctors are always at the hospital so it is unlikely that an appointment will open up. I tell her I am very frustrated because I am in pain and I have waited so long. She interrupts me to tell me oh well, but you are on the list. Why would I want to go to a doctor's office that has no consideration for me or my time? Let alone deal with a staff that will not even let me finish a sentence. Utterly rude. This is our lives and our health! Take it seriously.

Dr Sharma discussed my cardiovascular health in layman's terms so I could understand. She did not seem rushed even though my appointment was at the end of the day. Monica her nurse listened very well and was very pleasant. Front desk staff nice. Very pleased with this team.

Popped in to pick up some meds with my aging father and instead of telling us that everyone was at lunch, they had us wait for well over 40 minutes. They could have just told us and we would have come back!!! Absolutely horrible service!!! UPDATE: And their "Social Response Team" replied to this review with "sorry to hear you're disappointed" and not "sorry WE disappointed you". And they would much rather I complain to them in private, so as to keep it off the public forum. Nice.

Overall a good experience. I felt the physical visit to the doctors office was unnecessary, because my test results could have been discussed over MyChart. I have seen this trend with Novant and their need to charge for on-site doctor visits. I think Novant should take into consideration the costs to the patients. If Novant continues with this practice, I will take my medical needs to Atrium.
