Novant Health Heart & Vascular Institute - Huntersville

Very disappointed with this facility. I had a test which indicated that I am a high risk for a heart attack. The facility sent a referral out to a facility that does not perform angiograms which I am on a waiting list for. Novant cannot schedule me before December 18 at any location....not acceptable. Someone at novant scheduled me for December 2026!!!!!!!!! I am calling every day to get a sooner appointment to no avail. I truly do not need the added stress waiting to get an appointment!

My perceived racist experience at this office on 6/4/2024. My appointment was set earlier that morning for 2pm by someone from the Novant Team. I explained that I may be there a little after 2pm because of a meeting, the rep stated that's fine as they usually allow abt 15 minutes until the appointment would need to be reschedule. I get there at 2:12pm..the front desk checked me in no problem. The CNA was wonderful, called me back into the office and took vitals and explained that the Nurse Practioner would be in shortly. About 2minutes later this lady walks in and has a scowl on her face like I stole something from her. She immediately starts scolding me about being late. She stated that she had the right to refuse service because I was late. I explained to her that I mentioned that I may be running behind to the appointment setter and that the front desk clerk checked me in...If that was a problem that should've been handled with them..at that point I felt uncomfortable as a patient because to me, if my life were on the line it's obvious how this woman would handle the situation. If she felt that she had the power to cancel my visit then she should have, but to come in the office scold me like I'm some 12yr old and expect me to let her examine me like I would trust anything she had to say is absurd. I will begin my complaint journey up the chain of command today.

Nurses Chad and John were awesome on Monday for my tests!! They explained EVERYTHING to me. They verbally walked me through what they were going to do prior to each phase of testing, asking if I had any questions, and if I was doing ok. Each one was communicating with me on which one was doing the next test. I hope to never need these tests again but if I do these two are on my list of very caring nurses!

Anytime I step into the doctor's office I am treated with courtesy and respect. Beverly Conder listens to any concerns I may have and provides clear and concise feedback. I feel seen and heard. Which is extremely important to me. I admire her and her team!

I had a follow up appointment with NP Carol Romano. Unfortunately, I had a pretty significant health scare and went to her with lots of questions and concerns. She was pretty condescending and dismissive. She seemed annoyed by our questions and basically had no answers. I typically receive good care with Novant, she unfortunately changed that standard.
