He is a great Dr. we are very happy with his service.
On July 17, 2024 I had a follow-up cardiac visit, just a routine check. At that time a stress test was ordered to check on a previous blockage that had been monitored since my heart attack in 2021. The stress test was completed on August 7 with some abnormality discovered after the test. A cath was scheduled for August 20. I paid and showed up for the cath, and at that time, Dr. Daniels, whom I had never met and who was not familiar with my history, advised me not to have the procedure done. He advised that at my current exercise capacity, there was no need in doing the procedure as he expected nothing would be found, even though I have a family history of heart attacks and had NO previous symptoms with my first heart attack which was explained to him. He basically talked me out of having the procedure done. I left without having the procedure completed but felt uneasy about the events and eventually scheduled a second opinion with Dr. Chandra, who was recommended to me by a staff member at that practice. During the follow-up with Dr. Chandra, she advised that there were abnormalities with the stress test and she advised that it was her medical opinion that a cath be completed. A cath was scheduled for September 20, 2024 and was scheduled with Dr. Choi, per the recommendation by Dr. Chandra. The procedure was less than comfortable, and I had two stints placed during the procedure with an 80% blockage. I am concerned with the fact that Dr. Daniels felt that due to one part of my test he felt comfortable not doing a cath when in fact I was in need of two stents. I had an 80% blockage that needed attention asap. The question runs through my mind, how many other people were talked out of caths by Dr. Daniels who were in need of intervention. How many people have had heart attacks or even died from his opinion because he "doesn't think" you need further testing? I am not the first person that he has convinced NOT to have a procedure. Please beware of this doctor.
