The cardiology clinic on the 4th floor is a complete joke! I arrived at 2:05 pm, checked in, and paid for my 2:15 pm appointment. But even after waiting until past 3 pm, I still hadn't seen the doctor. Many patients who arrived later than me were seen first. If you have heart problems, do not come to this place--you might get so upset while waiting that your heart condition could worsen before you even see the doctor. On top of that, as a full-time state university employee, my co-pay was $94 for a single visit, while I noticed that every other patient paid at most $20. I work hard every week, yet when I need to see a cardiologist, I not only pay several times more than others, but I also can't even get to see the doctor. What kind of nonsense is this? Is it that working people are just supposed to stay home and wait to die?

3months ago I was notified by Dr geers staff that they found a problem during a stress test. I asked if we could do a video visit as I don't drive and it's a ways from my house. They called me back and said Dr geer refused so I made an appt and went. When asked why he had refused he said no one had ever asked him. He told me they needed to do a heart catherization and they had a date. Insurance denied the claim and 2weeks ago Dr geers staff told me they were going to refile and I would be hearing from them. I was supposed to have the procedure on the 19th which is tomorrow. Well Friday I called the office to find out the status on whether it had been approved or not. They would not tell me. Anything other than it was scheduled and for me to call my insurance co. So I did. They hadn't received anything after the first denial. At first I didn't believe him because surely it had been refiled by now. Just days before the procedure. They told the insurance company that the file was still being worked on. So I waited over the weekend worrying about it. I called Monday and refused to speak with anyone but the Dr. That's when they they told me Dr geer quit on the 12th. Why wouldn't they have mentioned that on Friday. They knew. They acted like they didn't want to tell me on Monday. Were they going to wait til I showed up for the surgery to find out?. I asked who was supposed to do the surgery and they told me they would find somebody. What. You don't have any answers 2days before procedure. I cancelled the procedure as I have totally lost faith in this clinic. What else aren't we being told because they don't offer any up willingly. This morning high point regional hospital called me to do a pre registration before the procedure tomorrow. Dr geers office didn't even let them know it had been cancelled 2days ago. Someone else could have probably been able helped in that time slot. How can you trust them when you can plainly see they don't care about doing their job . Sloppy. I'm going somewhere else and I'm getting in touch with the medical board.

Absolutely the best care and treatment I ever could have hoped for! Everyone from the front desk to the CMA's and RN's to the PA's and Dr's have been friendly and helpful in my time there and have made what has been a very difficult time in my life a whole lot easier to deal with and recover from.

This was my third visit to this office. Each visit has proven to me the care they seem to have for the patients by proceeding with tests to make sure the treatment given at the present time is the best for now and forth going or should the tests show that a different treatment is needed. They will proceed from there if something different is needed to continue with the best treatment. If I was not satisfied that my health is being taken serious, I would not return. I want to live.
