I had a heart cath performed by Dr Patel because my pulmonary doctor saw something on my CT that he did not like and recommend I get one. The next day after the heart cath, I am experiencing numbness and tingling from my finger tips to to toes. I also have a weird painful bulge in my arm where the artery goes behind the elbow. After six weeks of these problems, they ran an vascular ultrasound and found no problems. Dr Patel told me it is nothing he did. I DISAGREE! I did not have this problem before the heart cath and one day after I now have this debilitating numbness and tingling. Something happened during your procedure! People told me that I should have went to Winston, Raleigh or Charlotte to get my heart cath, not to mess with the doctors in Hickory. They are right, I should have.

Dr. Patel and his nurse Jeanine are the most unprofessional people I have ever came in contact with. My 21year old daughter had a heart attack due to a blood clotting disorder. She had stents placed. Since her procedure, two months ago, she began to have soreness in her chest. She went to the ER and all checked out fine but she wanted to check with her cardiologist, Dr. Patel, for confirmation for her concern. We spoke with Jeanine yesterday and gave her detailed information to relay to Dr. Patel. Jeanine called me back today and said Dr. Patel said, "it was 4pm and there was not anything he could do for my daughter and for her to go to the emergency room if this was urgent"!!!!!!!!!! How do you tell your patience that there is nothing you can do for them based on a time that was 1hr before closing? No possible solutions for her concern, no possible appointment setup for her, NOTHING! I gave Dr. Patel the benefit of the doubt with my initial introduction with him, I didn't like his disposition then but due to the circumstances, my focus was on my daughters health. I feel he is not a compassionate physician and my feelings were explained to the max upon hanging up with Jeanine. I do not recommend using him as a physician! I had her records transferred and found another cardiologist!

I came here because I had an abnormal stress test. I saw Dr. Patel he is right to the point and ran several tests due to my family background.
And all tests came out great. That gave me peace of mind. Dr. Patel is a good man.
