My very close friend, who has now passed, was greatly failed by this doctor. She suffered from immense pain and progressive disability from several documented autoimmune conditions. Instead of providing her with appropriate testing, treatment, and specialist referrals, he disregarded her concerns repeatedly and dismissed them as mental health in origin. One of her last encounters with him she was told to "think positively" and prescribed topical Aquaphor for a rapidly progressing mixed connective tissue disease. The medical system is failing patients, especially young women, so I am using my voice to advocate for those who no longer can. Dr Plotnikov, you let my friend down. Do better.
