Dr. George Mawardi is one of the best medical professionals I have ever encountered. From the moment I walked into his office, the staff was welcoming and organized. Dr. Mawardi took the time to thoroughly explain my diagnosis and the various treatment options available. He answered all my questions with patience, making sure I was well-informed every step of the way. His surgical skills and attention to detail are outstanding. After my procedure, I experienced a quick recovery and minimal discomfort. I am incredibly satisfied with the level of care I received. Patient

Wanted to put me on a statin w/o having ran labs. I declined, he informed me that 90% of his patients are on them. I still declined. Upon checking my breathing he told me to inhlae and hold, then moved to the next spot w/o saying exhale. By the time he was at my lower back he was touching my jacket and not even my back. He ordered a CT scan of the heart. I was awaiting results on a Friday. I got a call the following week from a nurse stating he called in medication for me and that he tried to call me on Friday (zero missed calls). I asked what it was for she said heart disease I asked what exactly did that mean, like what's wrong, what part of the heart etc... the nurse said she would have him call me since she couldn't answer my questions. We hung I start researching the general meaning etc...I saw an article that spoke on percentage of the heart being affected. In the middle of reading Dr. Mawardi calls. He leads with I tried calling you Friday, same as his nurse did (zero missed calls, no vm)! I asked could he explain the diagnosis. He said oh you have plaque in the arteries and you'll need to go on medication. I asked what percentage he said less than 25. So immediately that suggested he didn't even bother to have my chart pulled up to give the exact number. I said how long will I have to take the medicine, he says oh for the rest of your life. Dr. Mawardi had no further suggestions about lifestyle etc. I will not be going back to him. He was delighted about having patients on statins, not one lab was taken so I could understand my cholesterol level....this felt like a product being pushed on me opposed to a caring medical professional.
