I cannot rave enough about how good the pediatric specialists and surgical team are. My toddler received the most amazing care in the pre-op and OR. They really pull out all the stops for the kids: giving them stuffed animals to carry around with them, letting them draw on the sheets, and just making them feel all around comfortable. Every person we came across from the doctors to the nurses to the anesthesiologist were all PHENOMENAL. My daughter loved her nurse so much that she ended up giving her a huge hug at the end and she doesn't usually take to new people that quickly. Several teams worked together in successfully achieving a diagnosis for my daughter. The other thing I love about this hospital is how clean it is. I will be taking my kids to no other place for specialty care.

My 87 year old mother has been here twice in the past month in several different floors. CNA's for the most part are lazy, try to do as little as possible. You have to ask for the patient to be bathed, teeth brushed, hair combed, etc. If you are not there to feed your loved one, they will go hungry. My mother has dementia, and numerous times I came in and found bed rails down, IV's pulled out, bed alarm not on. Once the bed alarm was blaring as I came down the hall to find her sitting on the bed rail. I was told by a staff member that every one was busy when I asked why no one was responding. Nutrition department is the worst. They take your food order and give you the opposite. Daily, the tray would come up with no utensils, no drinks. Doctors were going to discharge her with a bad UTI until I questioned them. Now she's on IV antibiotics. They also ordered iron supplements when her levels prior to admission were elevated and she had liver impairment. Still haven't rechecked those but did stop the iron after I questioned them. Overall the hospital is dirty. They should be ashamed for charging what they do for such subpar service.

I believe that the Heart & Vascular inpatient department staff is the pride of Atrium Cabbarus Hospital in Concord, NC. In regards to the third floor of the hospital filled with Vascular patients is where they have the best team of doctors, nurses, and medical assistants. I've been admitted to this hospital a couple of times in regards to my heart. I think I've met all of the nurses per my stay and they are the best ever. They are attentive to there patients, thoughtful, and they really help you feel cared for. Feel safe and at ease with your loved one here at Cabbarus.

My mom is in the elderly mom is in the ER. She was there from 2:30 and didn't get called back until 9:00. They are admitting her and now they don't have any rooms. She has to stay in the ER until a room is available. They don't even allow you to be in the hospital with your love one. This the worst service I ever seen.

We had wonderful care. The nurses were great and the CNA so helpful. They are working in terrible conditions, every bed every chair filled with patients and the halls lined with stretchers of more patients. I don't know how they do it. They desperately need more resources. Surely some highly paid administrators could come up with a better plan?
