Asheville Cardiology Associates - Pediatrics Asheville

Dr. Friedman is a great doctor and we appreciate everything he has done for us. That being said like a lot of the other reviews stating that the very unpleasant front desk personnel are not what you would expect at a top notch Cardiologists office. When making an appointment if you really feel like the patient should arrive 30 minutes early or be threatened with the inability to complete the procedure your child is being seen for then make the appointment time 30 minutes earlier. Scheduling should be easy and stress free. When you arrive to check in early, the front desk staff are very quick to close the window to talk trash or belittle the patient or the family of the patient. YES WE HEARD YOU. We also felt punished for not following their patient must arrive 30 minutes early policy as our special needs child was not assisted by any nurses like we have been in the past. OUR PRECIOUS TIME IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS YOURS! ***This was a 2nd scheduled appointment for the same procedure as it wasnt scheduled correctly the first time and that was not because of us. We even arrived early for the first appointment. We will drive to Charlotte next time rather than deal with you again and no we will not call Caitlin, because as with any manager, you are well aware of what goes on in your practice unless you are completely oblivious or you never step out of your office.

Well we did not have the best time at the cardiologist. I kept my special needs son in his stroller so he doesn't have to be on the bed and have to worry about him rolling off. His stroller can lay back pretty far and much safer for him. This took about 45 minutes or so. Towards the end he was just getting really antsy and I know he had a wet diaper. When we got done I asked the technician if I could put them on the bed and change him he told me I couldn't because "he" is running behind and that the other person is in the waiting room. This made me absolutely so mad! It would only take 2 minutes to change a diaper! So I had to put my son in the back of my van to change his diaper and cover him up as much as I can so nobody can see. It was just a horrible experience and it breaks my heart when people have no compassion.

I have nothing but praise for Asheville Cardiology Associates - Pediatrics! From my very first phone call this morning, to having my thirteen year old given the all clear before lunch! Turns out that the referral from her pediatrician (Jackson Co.) three weeks ago was incomplete, and the person that answered the phone at 8:03am got us scheduled for next Monday. (Today is Tuesday) The big concern being healthy enough to get her sports physical approved before the first game! Our peds office called me and said they could actually see us today at Asheville Cardiology! I called them right back and got an appointment, picked up my girl from school, and we arrived early enough to be a proper new patient check in. A receptionist waved us right over to take our name and we waited just a few minutes for the other receptionist to take more details. Both of them were friendly and helpful. When we were called back, the next person we met took vitals and administered the EKG, and they were SO sweet. Dr. Friedman was very helpful, asked lots of questions and really listened. I'm positive that I made the best decision in Asheville Cardiology to check on my daughter's heart.

I have been going here since my first heart attack in 2016. What can I say? As a nurse of more than 25 years, I'm still coming back! ( They must be doing something right). Asheville Cardiology is bar none, a first rate, top-notch practice. I think people forget how fortunate we are to have such in our area. This incredibly busy practice maintains first rate, individualized, quality care in my opinion.. not Only on-site, but satellite to outlying areas as well.. Full marks.

Honestly worst experience I've had in a while. We waited in the room for hours, quite literally because we were arrived at 1:20 for our 1:30 apt. They asked me to be early but we live an hour away, got stuck in traffic and I called to let them know. It's like they were "punishing" us. If we ever need to go to a cardiologist again, it will definitely not be here! Very disappointing!
