Dr pomeranze isn't the problem, I had to wear a heart monitor over a weekend, they were supposed to call me with results, I had already worn a heart monitor previously to this one, I was diagnosed with taci cardiac , they put me on medication, everything was fine for a couple of months until I started getting the palpitations again at night, I made an appointment and saw the nurse practitioner she was the one that ordered another heart monitor, the second monitor, I was to wear it over the weekend, I dropped it off at their office and the receptionist told me that someone would be in touch within 2 weeks which, I thought was a long time as the palpitations were preventing me from sleeping, anyway, I didn't hear anything back after 2 weeks so, I called them, the receptionist told me someone would get back to me that day, I heard nothing, I called the office later that night and left a message, a long message explaining my situation she typed it out read it back to me and said, someone would contact me first thing, that was today, guess what no call so, I called them again, the receptionist actually put me on hold saying she would get someone to talk to me, I was on hold when a woman said hello, she didn't introduce herself give me her medical status, I had to ask her who she was, that takes feeling of security to another level she didn't call me by my first name, seemed to be in a hurry to get me off the phone, she called in a higher dosage of my medicine and told me to take over the counter magnesium, I had to ask her how many magnesium do I take, absolutely unbelievable, terrible rapor with their patients, I think I'm going to look for another cardiologist because these guys make you have palpitations with the worrying.

This review has nothing to do with Dr Pomerantz, he's been my Dr for over 20 years and my appointments with him have always been on time. His nurse is terrific also. Here's my problem, 2 weeks ago I called asking for a script for my bloodwork b sent to me so my results would b there when I have my Oct 6 appointment. Nothing sent. I had to call 5 times over a 3 day period to speak with someone. I asked them to walk my script to Quest which was down the hall. It was only then that I found out his office was moved to 2 Medical drive. I would have gone to Crosfield Ave, I. Ever received a notice that they moved. Terrible office staff but I like Dr P

I would never, in good conscience, refer anyone to this provider. This doctor was in charge of my mothers care. He not only failed her once but a total of three times. She fell and ended up with stitches on Christmas Day. Soon after she began to get dizzy and we brought her back to the hospital for another catscan and to monitor her blood pressure because it was low as was her heart rate. Instead of having her admitted she was sent home. We made an appointment for her to see this provider and brought her in following this hospital visit. He did not give her an ekg to check her heart, did not order any further testing he took her off one of her pills and sent her on her way. The pill he took her off of was a pill he wanted her off of in October but she was scared and didn't want to come off of. So instead of actual tests he said "I told you you should have come off this pill, this is the cause of your issue". My sister and I had a conversation after my mother left and decided she needed more testing. My sister called his office and demanded a 24 hour heart monitor test and an echocardiogram. They agreed and we went to get the heart monitor. Within 4 days of having the monitor on, we received a call from this doctor telling us to get her in an ambulance and get her to the hospital immediately. We did and it was shown that she had a major issue with her heart. When this doctor showed up he said to my sister and I "I guess I missed this one". I said you think? My mother was admitted to the hospital. Her heart rate and blood pressure were erratic at best. We were told that her heart wasn't beating within normal range and they put her on a pill to assist in putting her heart back to normal range. While in the hospital she only saw this doctor twice and the rest was the house doctor the surgeon because they were thinking of putting a pacemaker in and the horrible house doctor. Upon discharge we weren't told about any other medications changing added her new medication to her daily routine. We went to his office for follow up and because my mother had an adverse reaction to the drug four days after discharge he gave my mother an EKG and said all was well and lowered her dose of her new medication . Printed out a sheet with what the visit was about and sent her on her way. We read the sheet to see that he took her off another medication she was taking but never mentioned it in his office or at the hospital. We again had to call his office and ask what was going on. He said he took her off this medication in the hospital but never shared the information. Other meds he took her off of in the hospital were never mentioned as well. He is the worst cardiologist that I have ever had to deal with and my mother has since gone to another. His office is refusing to release the electronic records saying that the doctors work and notes are in those records and this doctor does not want the new doctor to have them but they will only release what is in the paper chart, however, all of his records are electronic so I'm not sure what they will be giving us. He doesn't like to answer questions and become annoyed when you ask for an answer and his office staff is worse.
