Heart Group of Syracuse - Watertown office

My wife is a black African woman and Dr. Jamal refused to give care to my wife on her 3rd appointment because she has a French accent when speaking English. He suggested that my wife did not understand English and needed an interpreter, and she needed to reschedule her appointment. When my wife called me and told me, I told her to pass the phone to Dr. Jamal, I told him that my wife understood English but he said that he would not see her that day, after begging him and telling him all the stress my wife and me is going through about her heart problem, he still refused. I told him that he had just been racist and that was discrimination, and he hung up the phone. My wife rescheduled another appt 20 days out. When my wife went to the front desk they told her that the provider said that if I didn't apologize to him, he would not treat her. What kind of Doctor is he for putting people's lives in danger? I would not recommend any person to this Doctor or clinic. What kind of Doctor refuses to treat a patient in the middle of a treatment?

Heart group of Syracuse, in Watertown, Ny is an excellent practice and very loving and caring, doctors, nurses and staff. My doctor, Dr. Traian Anghel is wonderful. He's very smart, caring, polite and excellent at his job. He has helped me gain much better health and strength in my body and heart health.

So glad I was referred to this Office by a Dr from Carthage. They are very caring in this office. Dr. Ahmed is extremely knowledgeable & has his Patients best interests at heart. I've had several procedures & a few surgeries over the years. I was told in Watertown that I didn't need my ICD !!!!! It's fired 4x since that dr told me I didn't need it. Dr. Ahmed explains Everything thoroughly. This office has saved my life & I am forever thankful. At one time there was a nurse that wasn't the friendliest but they also had one EXCEPTIONAL nurse & she was the best. Unfortunately, Military duty called & she has moved on. Good Luck Carly !! The staff are extremely helpful & gracious. I would HIGHLY recommend this group of Drs. Their office in Watertown is convenient as far as traveling to Syracuse. I'm glad all my testing is done in Syracuse under their watchful eye !!!! KUDOS to the Heart Group of Syracuse !!

Extremely rude staff & unprofessional billing department. They have no clue how to bill insurance correctly & will charge randomly. Jessica at front desk has a horrible attitude and doesn't seem to care about any patient. She will cut you off mid sentence with snarky remarks. Scheduling is a mess and they will make appointments without informing you then bill you when you miss it. If you need to talk to the on call physician they will tell you not to bother them if it is inconvenient for them. They make me feel like an inconvenience money pit for them. Forget about the patient portal- no one knows how to use it & it seems like every one of their staff has access to all your personal records, even the ones that list "I am not a doctor." Horrible experience every time with no other real options to go to. I dread going to this place.

I have been seeing Dr. Anghel at the Watertown office for a few years now. He and his staff are wonderful. They are polite and explain things well.
