Took over a year to even get an appointment after referral because they refuse to hire any Dr's. I finally get in to see them first appointment went well. Just hours before my second appointment they call to tell me that my PA left the practice so my appointment is canceled. After calling back 4-5 times to reschedule I just stopped trying. We'll it's been another 5 months and they called to try to get me an appointment. At 8am... Get it together!!!!

I'm really surprised at the other reviews. I have had good experiences with Dr. Thandar and my portal messages are always returned promptly.

Professional, better than average wait time, spacious and comfortable when you happen to wait. It's everything a modern facility could and should be.

I usually don't review Drs offices because it's never that serious to me I find a new one and move on but my entire experience with Crouse Medical Practice has been a shit show. I'm new to the Syracuse area so I was looking for a PCP when I finally got insurance. Crouse was one I was insured under so I chose to go there. The doctor I had not only didn't seem interested in me as a person, but frequently asked the dumbest questions. I am allergic to a type of testosterone and I noted that in my chart. I have to take another kind because I am allergic to the certain one. She comes in after talking with me and asks why I am on a medicine I am allergic to. Ma'am there are two types of this medicine. Then she says I have to get blood drawn that day. Never done that at a new patient appointment so I didn't eat or drink for my 8am appointment. I'm used to scheduling blood work or scheduling testing but never that day. I ended up passing out due to getting it done that day which I warned the doctors that would happen. Then she orders an EKG, which is standard for my genetic disorder so whatever. The tech comes in and just tells me, a person with a female body, to remove my shirt. Doesn't step out. Doesn't give me a gown. Nothing. So I do it just to get it over with I've had so many of these before. The entire appointment I felt like they were just racking up a bill that day with how I was treated. No actual concern for my health. She gets me to rebook and I talk with my husband when I get home about how unhappy I was with how I was treated. He urged me to cancel the appointment and I called but it was after hours so I left a message with the answering team. I think it's done and handled. I get a voicemail on a Saturday about my upcoming appointment that is supposed to be canceled. I call back and it's answering team again because they are closed. She assured me she put in a note to cancel my appointment and I'd get a call on Monday. Flash forward to today, Tuesday, the day of the appointment and I still haven't received a call so I call them knowing they should be open by now. I wait and wait and someone finally answered with the coldest "how can I help you" tone. I explain my situation, albeit annoyed, and she said "ok it's canceled do you want to reschedule" I asked her about the 24 hour policy and how I'd been trying to call. She says "it's cancelled. That all?" And essentially says bye and hangs up when I said yes. The unprofessionalism and lack of personality in this establishment is shameful. I've been to many doctors offices in my life and this is by far the worst and I will never be back.

I have been a patient here for several years, and I have been a patient one at that because my goodness. I'm sure there are some doctors/practitioners here who are engaged with their patients, but that has not been my experience. Providers I have at other practices actually look like they listen to you while you talk and seem to care, but here, it just seems like they can't wait to leave the room. The doctor I had previously was not very thorough, really only checking my lungs during physicals. Even once said to me something along the lines of, "You're young, so you're most likely healthy." I had contemplated leaving for a while, but when that doctor left, I decided to give the new one a chance when I had to go in yesterday. She seemed nice enough, but I still didn't feel like she was very engaged with me, which I know could have been because she was trying to limit her time in the room with me due to the possibility of COVID. But that appointment was 8 AM yesterday, I got swabs for strep and COVID. Originally, I was told when I made the appointment I would probably have the results later that afternoon. Then when I asked at my appointment, the doctor said a day or two. Since it's a Friday, I call a little more than half an hour before they close, wait on hold, and say, "I was in yesterday morning and got tested for strep and COVID and was wondering if the results were in." Long pause, the person I spoke with seemed confused and said, "... You had an appointment?" I repeat, "Yes, at 8 AM yesterday." Another pause, then the person says, "So you're basically calling to get your results..." which I repeat as I said previously, yes I am. Put on a short hold, told the nurse is on the phone with another patient and they'd mark it as "urgent" for them to call me back. Half an hour after closing, and no call back. I don't think I have COVID, but wouldn't that be wonderful if I actually did and they didn't call me back until Monday (if they even call at all)? For a long time, it just feels like very few people are friendly here, very few people listen, and at this point, I don't trust them with my healthcare. If it was actually a welcoming environment, I would feel a little better about this place, but with long wait times across the board (at appointments, getting calls back, etc.), it's just not worth it. I have made a call to another practice and am going to switch. Save yourself a lot of frustration and don't go here.
