I was referred to Dr Vahl by my cardiologist and had my first consultation with him recently. I found both he, and his PA Jessica, to be very thorough in interviewing me and explaining their process. With his questions, Dr Vahl paid very close attention to every detail that might be affecting my heart, which impressed me right away. He wanted to be absolutely sure that it is the right timing for a valve replacement and ordered several tests to evaluate my condition. The scheduling of the tests was surprisingly easy. I got a call after I returned home that everything had been set up for me in a facility nearby. Dr Vahl offers office visits and testing facilities outside the city, which is really convenient and much appreciated. Also, the office staff at Columbia Doctors is fantastic to deal with. I feel very fortunate to be under his care.

Everyone I encountered was professional and reassuring. They answered my questions and explained in detail. I appreciate the care and concern I was given. The nurse, Carol, PA Jessica Forman and Dr. Vahl all made my visit less stressful and reassured me about the procedure.

Dr. Vahl performed two surgeries : inserting a stent in Jan2025 and a TAVR in Feb. Both were performed successfully. I am very much a senior and am beginning to feel stronger and function more confidently. His warmth and expertise dissipated the apprehension I felt about both procedures. I am looking forward to starting cardiac rehab and hope that my recovery will continue . Thank you Dr. Vahl and your staff for dealing with my concerns compassionately and expertly.
