Patient
I initially went to Dr. Mookherjee for a straightforward problem which she addressed. Dr. M was my doctor for several years during which my health declined due to underlying conditions. As my health declined, Dr. M increasingly expressed judgemental views and lack of understanding my symptoms, and I would leave appointments with no answers or care plan. She finally told me she had reached the extent of her knowledge of my conditions, which was apparent. Rather than referring me out or updating her knowledge on the many existing treatments available, she told me there were no more options and made some very concerning statements about how she viewed my health and future based on ignorant beliefs about people with chronic illnesses. In my interactions with her over the years, she lacked sensitivity and could not synthesize complex medical information. She was unable to step outside of her own personal experience, refusing to recognize different life experiences and inappropriately using her own life as a benchmark whenever I described symptoms. The offices are clean in both locations and the front desk staff are cordial and responsive. There was turnover in medical support staff over the years I was a patient and the current medical assistants and PA are uncaring and unknowledgeable. I now see a more knowledgeable cardiologist and am doing better. If you have a straightforward problem which does not require any degree of stepping outside her comfort zone to manage, Dr. M would be an adequate physician. Otherwise, best to look elsewhere in my opinion.
