Dr. Baskharoun is very thoughtful and thorough. A professional who truly cares about her patients. While a visit to her office may be longer than usual. I never feel rushed; she takes time to listen to my concerns and I always leave feeling informed and confident in my treatment plan.

Dr. B. has been seeing our mother for years, but unfortunately, her office has become increasingly unprofessional. There's a clear lack of consideration and empathy for patients, particularly those recovering from major heart surgery. The office environment reflects the doctor's own lack of professionalism. Trying to keep this brief so we'll focus on the recent experience only.... our experience with her was disappointing. After our mother's surgery and hospital discharge, we expected to receive appropriate follow-up care, but that was not the case. When our mother went in for a post-surgery checkup to monitor her INR level and blood pressure, the doctor spent less than two minutes with her. She rushed through everything, failing to check her weight or assess for signs of swelling in her feet. When asked about medication refills, and seeking guidance, the doctor seemed more concerned about rushing us out and going to see the other patient than addressing our mother's immediate needs. To make matters worse, the doctor's staff made a copy of the post-care instructions we had, but Dr. never reviewed the medications. I couldn't even finish a sentence because the consultation was rushed. When our mother mentioned changing pharmacies, the doctor simply told us to give the new information to the front desk--so we did. Three days later, our mother still hadn't received her medication. When we called the office, the staff was rude, despite the fact that our mother had just undergone open-heart surgery and urgently needed her medications. The Dr. continued to argue that the prescriptions had been sent, but when the pharmacy was called, they had no record of any prescriptions being processed. Five days later, our mother had to be readmitted to the hospital. She left a message for the Dr. but didn't get a call back until five hours later. The medical team at the hospital said that if she hadn't gone to the ER, she could have suffered a stroke. Even while in the hospital, the medical team tried repeatedly to reach the Dr. but they were unsuccessful. Our mother was discharged on Thursday, and my sister spoke to the Dr. several times about the medications. The Dr. promised to send the prescriptions to the pharmacy, and we confirmed the details with her. However, when we went to the pharmacy on 11/16 to pick up the medication, they confirmed there were still no prescriptions. They even sent a fax to the Dr, but she only responded via text saying she would try sending the prescription again and to check the next day. We'll wait and see if CVS gets the prescription and fills it. This behavior has been entirely neglectful and unprofessional. Such negligence is unacceptable and well below the standards of proper patient care, especially for someone who depends on you for post-recovery care following major open-heart surgery.
