I have had Dr. Varon as my Cardiologist for 7 years now and i have to say i feel very fortunate to have him on my list of physicians. He attends to all my concerns and helps me understand the issues with my Heart. Although, i would like to put out there, it does feel like he no longer works for himself since the name change of Sands Constellation Heart Institute. The personal warmth of the atmosphere has changed there, but not with Dr. Varon. They're lucky to have him.

This is written by John Durbin. Dr Varon may run late sometimes because he takes the time to thoroughly discuss your case with you. He takes the time to encourage you to do healthy activities such as cardiac rehab and eating right (low salt, etc.). For those of us who are dealing with severe heart disease, it is a blessing to have a thorough, caring, and communicative doctor who is willing and quite able to answer all your questions and provide you with helpful suggestions as to how to get on successfully with your new normal. Thanks Dr. Varon. PS I take my tablet and get some relaxing reading done.

On May 19, 2016 I had an appt. After waiting an hour (I was on my lunch from work) I inquired how much longer the Dr would be. The lady that was working the office reception desk said it would be another 2 hours as the Dr was running behind. Obviously because I was on lunch I could not wait. I asked why no one felt it necessary to inform me that I would be there for 3 hours. Who runs a business that way? Its rude to keep a patient waiting and not let them know the Dr is running 3 hours behind.
About a week later a lady from the office called to apologize after we requested my records to be sent to a new Cardiologist. She promised I would not have to wait at the next appt. I made a new appt for today 7/6. My appt was at 8:30. At 8.50 a nurse came in the room to tell me the Dr had an emergency and would be in about 20 min after waiting 40 more minutes. At 9:30 I left. I will never go back. I stopped at the desk on my way out and told the receptionist I had other obligations. I also asked her why they couldnt have called me this morning to let me know how late he was running yet again. Her comment had very sarcastic tone as she said have a nice day and snickered with her co-workers.
