Dr. Syed Shah Qadri's incompetence as a cardiologist caused my 88 year old mother to lose her life in 2021. She would have been alive now if he had not directed my mother to have a cardioversion, which then caused heart failure less than a week after the procedure. Before the procedure was done, he told me there were absolutely no potential side effects from getting a cardioversion and this was completely false. Every procedure has potential risks, and because he was not honest, I put my faith in his guidance and now my best friend is no longer here. He never should have allowed an 88 year old woman with a history of heart problems to have a cardioversion done. My mother went into the hospital with a urinary tract infection which caused her heart rate to increase. Instead of slowing her heart down by using medicine, or by treating the UTI with antibiotics (which would have slowed down her heart rate) he decided that a cardioversion was necessary. And because he said there were absolutely no risks, I did not do my due diligence of researching the risks on my own first. Now my mother is gone. I observed negligent behavior by Dr.Qadri in the past, and the incompetence of his staff in the Jamaica office location should have been a major clue but I didn't heed my own intuition. Dr Qadri will always be remembered as the horrible doctor who caused my mother to pass away before she should have. You must always choose the best doctors for your loved ones, especially when major organs like the heart are involved. I miss my mother and I cry almost daily wishing I could hear her voice again and hold her. Her husband, my father no longer has his wife as his companion.
