Dr. Slater is an excellent and caring cardiologist. The exams are thorough, he asks questions, and listens to my responses carefully. He explains things well and I feel comfortable asking him questions. His offices are run well with little wait time at appointments.

He presents a calm and supportive demeanor even when I know the office is busy, and he gladly answers all of my questions. In addition, he is kind and thoughtful.

Dr. Slater is the best cardiologist I have ever been too. What I like about Dr. Slater is he listens and then finds a solution to help you and to put your mind at ease. I have extensive heart disease in my family and I have been to a lot of cardiologist to have my heart checked to try and prevent contracting the same heart disease that my mother, father and sister had (all deceased now.) When I would go to other cardiologist I would be checked out and then dismissed because they couldn't find anything wrong with my heart. One cardiologist told me stop making appts to see him (these were yearly visits) because that cardiologist told me I have a lot of sick patients and your not one of them. I'm trying to avoid becoming sick. I lost my beloved sister to heart disease, she was only 52 when she died from this terrible disease. I went to a cardiologist in Dr. Slater's group. I don't remember the cardiologist name and I am not here to bash that cardiologist. We just weren't a good fit. Then I met Dr. Slater and explained the family history, and my fears he took it seriously and had some heart tests ordered that others did not. I was so relieved that finally a cardiologist was willing to hear me and my concerns and not just say well your heart is fine come back when there is an issue. It's too late when it becomes an issue. Dr. Slater is a great cardiologist and I feel lucky to be a patient of his.

The office allowed me to get an appointment quickly after someone else cancelled. Dr. Slater read my test results and also looked back at a previous test result and explained everything very clearly. Then he personally arranged for a follow-up test. It was a very positive experience.
