Patient
Went in with my son for a finger injury. As a healthcare provider from another hospital system in NYC, I feel the need to write about our experience at this location. I'll give 5 stars for their staff, however, I would only give 2 stars for how the office is managed in regards to staffing. We were checked in and seen very promptly by Danielle. She was so kind, compassionate but also apologetic because she had to juggle check-in, rooming patients and taking history and vitals. As she exited the exam room to head back to handle the front desk, Ken, our PA came in right away and performed his assessment. He was also very kinda and knowledgeable. He recommended that we wait for x-rays which is exactly why I brought my son to this location (I knew they were available here). However, the person who conducts the x-rays at this location (Michael), which is also their front desk staff, had just been sent to their Ronkonkoma location to perform an x-ray for a patient there! So we had to wait for him to return in order to get our x-ray and finish our visit. As we waited for Michael to return and conduct an x-ray on my son's finger, the waiting room began to fill up and Danielle and Ken were quietly scrambling to accommodate everyone in the most efficient way they could. Again, the staff themselves were wonderful despite being pulled in many directions during the busiest holiday season. I feel terrible for them and hope that the large hospital system they are part of recognize their efforts and either provide them additional staffing assistance or at the very least a nice holiday bonus or raise!
