I am writing to formally express my deep concern and dissatisfaction with the level of professionalism and service I recently experienced at your cardiology clinic while accompanying a patient under Dr. Yang's care. - Inaccurate Information from Reception Staff When calling to schedule a medical clearance appointment, I was told by the receptionist that we needed to bring a new referral letter--even though the patient has been under Dr. Yang's care for over a year. I explained this, but the receptionist insisted on a referral rather than checking with others or verifying the proper process. This caused unnecessary confusion and clearly showed a lack of understanding of internal workflow. - Failure to Confirm Receipt of Medical Clearance Form The surgical team had confirmed they faxed the required medical clearance form to your office. However, upon arriving for the scheduled appointment, your staff stated they had not received the form. Fortunately, I had brought a physical copy, but this oversight could have disrupted the appointment. - Unprofessional Behavior from Clinical Staff The nurse or medical assistant who took the patient's vitals displayed a dismissive and disrespectful attitude. There was no greeting, little to no eye contact, and her tone was abrupt and unkind. This kind of interaction is both unwelcoming and inappropriate in a medical setting. - Lack of Follow-Through with Medical Clearance Instructions After the follow-up visit for results, your office handed the clearance form back to the patient, stating that you could not find the fax number for the surgical office--even though it was clearly indicated on the form. According to the instructions, the form was supposed to be sent directly to the surgeon's office, not given back to the patient. These repeated lapses in communication, professionalism, and procedure are unacceptable, especially in a healthcare environment where clarity, empathy, and coordination are critical. I urge your clinic to review internal training and communication protocols to prevent similar issues from affecting other patients in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope to see improvements in how patients and their advocates are treated at your clinic.

I am extremely disappointed with the service my dad received at this cardiology office. My dad had an appointment scheduled, but the receptionist canceled it simply because neither he nor his emergency contact picked up the reminder phone call. He had previously informed them that we wouldn't be able to answer calls due to busy schedules. Despite this, they canceled the appointment without notifying us in another way. Today, my dad showed up on time only to be told he wouldn't be seen. This level of inflexibility and lack of communication is unacceptable, especially for a cardiology office where the patient made months ahead appointments. Heartless and Unprofessional: A Nightmare Visit to Dr. Yang I am writing this review with a heavy heart, deeply saddened and distressed by the treatment my 63-year-old mother received from Dr. Yang, her cardiologist. As someone in the healthcare field, I understand the critical importance of compassion and professionalism, and I was appalled by my mother's experience during her recent visit. My mother, who has no medical background and speaks only Chinese, was referred to Dr. Yang by her primary care physician in hopes of avoiding any language barriers in her care. She sought Dr. Yang's help due to serious symptoms, including occasional shortness of breath and chest pain--concerns that are particularly alarming given her age. Instead of receiving the empathetic care she needed, she was met with hostility. Dr. Yang's bedside manner was shockingly poor. He approached my mother with aggression, and his conduct throughout the visit was unprofessional. He raised his voice and blamed my mother for not bringing her home blood pressure machine to the appointment, despite receiving conflicting instructions from both Dr. Yang and his office prior to the visit. Rather than allowing her to explain the situation, he continuously demeaned her. His shouting was so loud that it was audible to other patients and staff in the waiting area. Despite my mother's willingness to return home and bring the blood pressure machine later in the day--her commute from home to the office being an hour and thirty minutes--Dr. Yang dismissively told her to come back next month. As a result, my mother left the appointment in tears and uneasy, with her health concerns unresolved, many questions unanswered, and no action taken regarding her care. This experience was not only disheartening but also distressing, as it suggests that other elderly or vulnerable patients might face similar treatment. It is troubling to think that Dr. Yang's behavior could negatively impact others who, like my mother, may have limited options due to language barriers and lack of medical knowledge. I urge anyone considering Dr. Yang's services to reconsider, especially if you or your loved ones might face similar challenges. I also appeal to primary care physicians to refer patients to cardiologists who demonstrate respect, patience, and a commitment to comprehensive patient care. No one should endure the kind of treatment my mother experienced. The combination of poor bedside manner, unprofessional behavior, and inadequate treatment makes it difficult to recommend Dr. Yang's services. For those seeking cardiology care, please consider alternatives that prioritize a more compassionate and patient-centered approach.
