Patient
Dr. Socolow really dropped the ball. He missed a life threatening condition on my echo for 3 years, yet when I got the records there it was--plain as day. Thankfully my PC ordered a cat scan, I was able to look at the results--when I told another doctor the results I could tell by the look on her face it was serious. I called Dr, Socolow and consulted Dr Google and figure out what was wrong--Dr. Socolow never bothered to look at the results, despite my calling for 3 weeks. Once I got a hold of him through the portal, he did a quick google search and gave me incorrect advice (at that point I had 3 desperate weeks of consulting with Dr Google and was better informed). I realized he did the same with my leaky valve--he never told me I had one until I luckily came the following year for another echo when he mentioned it. What? I now have a great cardiologist that is thorough, knowledgable, thoughtful. Night and day. Pick someone else.
