About Dr. James M. Tauras, MD

Jim Tauras, MD, FACC, is a cardiologist, Assistant Professor, Medicine and Course Director,Cardiovascular Diseases Physiology and Pathophysiology at Montefiore Einstein. Dr Tauras' major clinical interests include critical care cardiology, congestive heart failure and cardiac amyloidosis. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science in biological engineering from Cornell University in 1995, Dr Tauras earned his Doctor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College in 2003. He then came to Montefiore Einstein to complete an internal medicine internship in 2004, an internal medicine residency in 2006 and a cardiology fellowship in 2009.
